High Ash Farm Calendar High Ash Farm, Caistor St Edmund, Norwich, Norfolk, NR14 8RD The High Ash Farm 2012 calendar is finally here! Following the success of the 2011 calendar we have decided to bring you another one. This year it is even better, not only are there 12 amazing photos of wildlife taken at the farm but we are using the profits from the calendar to try and create Britain’s biggest bird table! For each calendar we sell we will plant an extra 25m2 of our over winter wild bird seed mix. We already plant a large area of this crop on the farm which is funded by our HLS (Higher Level Scheme). We have seen amazing results over the last 5 years and would like to expand the area which we plant. By using the profit from each calendar sold we can afford to take an area of 25m2 out of arable production and convert it to this crop which will help wild birds through the ‘winter hungry gap’. This is the period of time from late winter to early spring when food is particularly scarce for farmland birds like linnets, yellowhammers and goldfinches. Below you can see a preview of each month from the calendar. You can buy the calendar on-line via the Paypal or see the bottom of the page for other payment options.
